Titans Shutout Marian For Second Consecutive Season

FOND DU LAC, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team delivered its second consecutive sweep against Marian University on Wednesday (Sept. 27).

Olivia Pethan and Alysa Pattee outscored Aeryn Olson and Kendall Pliner, 8-1, in the No. 1 doubles contest. At No. 2 doubles, Ella Nguyen and Courtney Carpenter defeated Hazel Duchemin and Abby Okon, 8-4. Jameson Gregory and Kayla Gibbs delivered a shutout against Melana Brunton and Josie Bruch to take home an 8-0 victory.

In the singles contests, both Pattee and Gibbs blocked out Sabers Melana Brunton and Brunch, 6-0, 6-0, in the No. 2 and 6 singles, respectively. Pethan outscored Olson, 6-1, 6-1 in singles No. 1, Nguyen secured the No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win against Pliner, Gregory posted a 6-3, 6-0 victory against Okon in singles No. 4, and Jenna Noble delivered a 6-1, 6-0 win against Duchemin in the No. 5 singles.

The Titans are set to go against UW-River Falls at Ramer Field Tennis Courts on Saturday (Sept. 30). The first serve is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. UW-Oshkosh is currently 24-14 against UW-River Falls since first meeting in 1985.
