Carpenter, Schmoldt Named WIAC Doubles Team Of The Week

OSHKOSH, Wis.–Courtney Carpenter and Alexandra Schmoldt earned Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week honors for matches played Sept. 26-Oct. 2.

Playing together for the first time this season, Carpenter and Schmoldt won at No. 1 Doubles to help the Titans to a 5-4 home win over UW-River Falls on Oct. 1. Carpenter and Schmoldt won 8-5, over the Falcons' Alexis Budzinski and Chloe Struss.

Carpenter and Schmoldt are the first Titans to garner WIAC Doubles Team of the Week recognition since Courtney Salisbury and Maddie Tobovek won the award for matches played Feb.8-March 14 during the 2020-21 campaign.

UW-Oshkosh (5-1, 1-1 WIAC), out to its best start since also going 5-1 to open the 2017-18 season, hosts UW-La Crosse (3-1, 2-1 WIAC) on Wednesday (Oct. 5) at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Courts.
