UWO To Host Eagles On Wednesday

OSHKOSH, Wis.–The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team conducts its regular season home finale Wednesday (Oct. 5), when it hosts UW-La Crosse for a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual. Opening serves are set for 3:30 p.m. at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Courts.

UW-Oshkosh (5-1, 1-1 WIAC), out to its best start since also going 5-1 to open the 2017-18 season, is coming off a thrilling 5-4 home victory over conference rival UW-River Falls on Saturday (Oct. 1). The Titans secured their latest victory after Alessandra Rivera won in straight sets at No. 6 Singles during the final match.

The Titans have compiled a 26-10 record in singles play during duals this season and an 11-7 mark in doubles play.

In UW-Oshkosh's six duals, Cordelia Damkot is 6-0 in singles matches while Louisa Damkot is 5-1, Alysa Pattee is 4-1, Alexandra Schmoldt is 4-2, Jenna Nolde is 3-2 and Hannah Stitt is 3-3.

The Damkots have paired to produce a 5-1 record to lead the Titans in doubles play during duals. The doubles tandem of Nolde and Courtney Carpenter are 3-2 this season for UW-Oshkosh.

UW-La Crosse (3-1, 2-1 WIAC) has won 14 consecutive duals against UW-Oshkosh since the Titans downed the Eagles, 6-3, on Oct. 1, 2011. The Eagles have lost one match during the past 14 meetings in the series with UW-Oshkosh.

The Eagles have gone 16-8 in singles matches and 8-4 in doubles play during their four duals on the year.

UW-Oshkosh wraps up the week with a league dual at UW-Stevens Point on Friday (Oct. 7). UW-Stevens Point has won the past two meetings with the Titans, but UW-Oshkosh owns a 7-2 record during the past nine matchups in the series.
