Titans Place Seventh At Season Opening Invitational

WHITEWATER, Wis.–The UW-Oshkosh women's tennis team placed seventh at the season opening UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 3).

UW-Oshkosh scored 10 points at the seven-team event that featured three singles and three doubles flights. UW-Whitewater won its own invitational with 48 points, followed by Grinnell College (Iowa) in second with 44 points, UW-Eau Claire third with 34, Augustana (Ill.) and Carthage colleges fourth with 23, and UW-La Crosse sixth with 16.

The Titans received seventh place finishes from Cordelia Damkot at No. 2 Singles, Hannah Stitt at No. 3 Singles, Alysa Pattee and Alexandra Schmoldt at No. 1 Doubles, and Jenna Nolde and Courtney Carpenter at No. 2 Doubles.

UW-Oshkosh returns home to host Lawrence University on Tuesday (Sept. 6) at the Kolf Sports Center Outdoor Courts.
