Bio

Coaching nine WIAC Outstanding Diver winners from 2004-12, Amy McQuillan established UW-Oshkosh as one of the premier diving programs in the league. McQuillan became the men’s and women’s diving coach during the 2003-04 season.

McQuillan has guided three men to eight WIAC Outstanding Diver awards and one woman to WIAC Outstanding Diver honors. Five Titan divers have also achieved a total of 20 NCAA Division III All-American awards under McQuillan’s tutelage.

McQuillan was named 2012 Division III Men’s Diving Coach of the Year after helping Phil Devine to the national title in the 3-meter event and a third-place finish at 1-meter. Devine ended his career with two national crowns, seven All-America accolades and eight WIAC titles.

In 2004, McQuillan received the National Women’s Diving Coach of the Year award. She trained Rachel Heitkamp, who won Division III titles at both 1 and 3 meters in 2004 and was named national Diver of the Meet for the second straight year.

McQuillan also guided Jacob Chadderdon to second-place national finishes on the 3-meter board in 2008 and 2009. Chris Hansman and Matt Wilke have also posted posted another All-America performances during McQuillan's tenure.

At the conference level, McQuillan coached both the men’s and women’s Outstanding Diver during 2004. She tutored Chadderdon to the honor from 2006-08 before Devine dominated the field from 2009-12. Overall, McQuillan’s divers have captured 15 WIAC individual championships, including 13 on the men’s side.

McQuillan, a Neenah High School graduate, earned four letters as a member of the UW-La Crosse’s swimming & diving team from 1995-98. She earned her bachelor’s degree in community health education.
