Challoner Chosen As WIAC Swimmer Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Katie Challoner earned the WIAC Women's Swimmer of the Week award for the period of Oct. 20-26.

Challoner placed in the top 10 in two individual events and one relay at the Wisconsin College Showcase held Oct. 25 in Brown Deer.

Challoner swam to a sixth-place finish in both breaststroke races, recording times of 1:09.33 at 100 yards and 2:31.84 at 200. Racheal Weiland of UW-Green Bay took first place among the 27 participants in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.07, while Natalie Johnson of UW-Milwaukee defeated 24 competitors in the 200-yard breaststroke with a performance of 2:27.58.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Challoner helped UW-Oshkosh finish ninth with a time of 1:57.69. UW-Milwaukee took first place among the 23 entrants with a time of 1:48.74.

UW-Eau Claire's Amanda Baker was named the WIAC's Diver of the Week.
