Challoner Breaks Two Records In Minnesota

Katherine Challoner (Fr. • Sun Prairie) broke two school records at the Jean Freeman Women's Swimming & Diving Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 30-Dec. 1) in St. Paul, Minn. No team scores were kept.

Challoner clocked times of 1:07.34 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:27.54 in the 200-yard breaststroke to set Titan standards. She finished second in the 200-yard event and eighth in the 100-yard race.

Lawren Jaben (Fr. • Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) was the only UW-Oshkosh winner, booking a 200-yard butterfly time of 2:02.76 to prevail by more than five seconds. South Dakota State's Emma Wright took second place in 2:08.37 and Trina Young third in 2:13.57.

The other Titan to shine was Britney Hilgendorf (So. • Madison). She came in third with an 18:35.22 during the 1,650-yard freestyle. Hilgendorf then achieved sixth place in the 400-yard individual medley (4:51.92) and 11th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:23.64).

Both Hilgendorf and Emily Shandley (Sr. • Oak Creek) swam on three freestyle relays. The 800-yard group clocked an 8:19.80 for fifth, while the 200-yard (1:42.80) and 400-yard (3:52.64) teams each finished sixth.

UW-Oshkosh's final meet of December will be on Friday (Dec. 7) against Lawrence University in Albee Hall.
