Four Titans Collect All-WIAC Honors

MADISON, Wis.- Four members of the UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team were included on the All-WIAC Team on Wednesday (Nov. 1).

Leading the Titan selections with the Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year award and an Honorable Mention was Lauren Silvestri (Fr. • St. Charles, Ill.). The defender started all 19 games and scored a goal in Oshkosh's 4-1 home victory over the University of Olivet (Mich.) on Sept. 10 on a penalty kick.

Molly Jackson (Jr. • Appleton) has named to her second First Team, previously earning both First Team and Newcomer of the Year in 2021. The midfielder started all 19 games this season, accumulating eight points on three goals and two assists. She also scored on one of her two penalty kick opportunities,

Kate Whitney (Jr. • Skokie, Ill.) earned her first All-WIAC nod with a First Team placement. A defender, she started 17 games and was a crucial part of both of the Titans' shutout wins this season. Whitney also scored twice and recorded an assist for five points.

Oshkosh's representative on this season's All-Sportsmanship Team was Alex Lopez (Jr. • St. Charles, Ill.). She played in 11 games with a start at Kalamazoo College (Mich.) on Sept. 22.

UW-Oshkosh finished the season with a record of 5-10-4 and a 3-3-1 mark in league play. The Titans earned the fourth seed in the WIAC Tournament and played UW-Stevens Point in the first round at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
