Titans Tie Pioneers In Regular Season Finale

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's soccer concluded its regular season with a 1-1 tie on the road at UW-Platteville on Saturday (Oct. 28).

The Titans (5-9-4, 3-3-1 WIAC) shot nine times with three shots on goal, while the Pioneers (9-2-5, 4-1-2 WIAC) had 13 shots with nine on goal.

Emma Sauriol (Jr. • New Lenox, Ill.) registered eight saves on nine shots saved.

In the scoreless first half, Oshkosh shot four times with three on goal while UW-Platteville shot three times with all on goal.

The Pioneers secured the first goal of the match in the 73rd minute by sneaking a shot by Sauriol who had stretched out to save another shot. Meghan Frantz scored the goal with an assist by Alyssa Peterson.

The Titans tied the score in the 80th minute with Rylie Kaufmann (Sr. • St. Charles, Ill.) scoring her fourth goal of the season on an assist by Lauren Janssens (So. • Oregon).

The Titans return to action for the First Round of the WIAC Tournament at home against UW-Stevens Point on Tuesday (Oct. 31). The game is set to start at 6 p.m. at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium.
