Bennett Named to USC Scholar All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Mackenzie Bennett, a member of the UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team, was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region Third Team on Wednesday. She earned First Team honors last season.

A senior defender from Geneva, Ill., Bennett is majoring in nursing and currently holds at 3.79 cumulative GPA. She has been named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll four times and has been on UW-Oshkosh's Dean's List and Honor Roll multiple semesters. 

Bennett is a member of the Leadership Council and works for ThedaCare. She is passionate about volunteering in her community, volunteering with the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, Polar Plunge, Copia Cup and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

A 2022 All-WIAC First Team member, she started all 19 matches for the Titans this season and was a key part of the Titans defense that totaled four shutouts this season. She scored two goals, one at Ripon College (Wis.) in a 15-0 season-opening win and a game-winner at UW-River Falls to knock the Falcons out of playoff contention. She ended the Falcons season for the second season in a row with the goal on Oct. 29.

On top of her All-WIAC First Team mention this season, Bennett was also named the WIAC Judy Kruckman women's soccer Scholar-Athlete, the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America or CoSIDA) Academic All-District First Team and the United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX Third Team.
