Three Titans Collect All-Region Soccer Accolades

UW-Oshkosh women's soccer players Robyn Elliott, Christina Mauthe and Ashley Siewert have received NCAA Division III All-North Region honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Elliott, a junior midfielder, was named to the second team after earning mention on the third team last season and the second team in 2013. She joins Michelle John (2004-06) and Lindsay Rau (2001-03) as UW-Oshkosh's only three-time all-region performers

Mauthe, a senior forward, and Siewert, a senior defender, both picked up their first all-region awards as third-team selections.

Elliott started all 21 matches for the Titans this season and counted 18 points, seven goals and four assists to rank 10th in the WIAC in all three categories.

Elliott tallied a goal in seven of the Titans' first 13 games, including the match-winner during a 2-1 victory over the University of California-Santa Cruz on Sept. 26. She registered either a goal or an assist in 11 contests this season.

Elliott has started all 63 UW-Oshkosh games during her three seasons, scoring 44 points on 17 goals and 10 assists. She is a three-time All-WIAC selection.

Mauthe, an All-WIAC first team selection, led the Titans with 22 points on eight goals and six assists. Her assist total ranked second in the WIAC while her points listed fourth and her goals sixth.

Mauthe's five game-winning goals were the second most in the league this season. Her game winners included the lone scores in 1-0 victories over UW-Stout on Oct. 3 and UW-Eau Claire in the semifinal round of the WIAC Championship on Nov. 5.

Mauthe owns career totals of 30 points on 10 goals and 10 assists in 52 games, including 43 starts.

Siewert, the 2015 WIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, led a defensive unit that ranked first in the league with 17 goals allowed and second with eight shutouts. The Titans permitted multiple goals in just four of their 21 matches.

Siewert started all 20 matches that she played in this season and notched her first career goal during the Titans' 7-0 victory over Marian University on Sept. 11. Siewert, who also received All-WIAC honors in 2013, started 69 of the 80 matches that she played in during her UW-Oshkosh career.

A total of 37 players were selected to the three all-region squads, including three first-team selections from Lake Forest College (Ill.). UW-Whitewater also had three honorees, with one named to each of the three teams.

Players chosen to the 11-member first team were goalkeeper Ashley Becker from Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.); defenders Kourtni Alcock from UW-La Crosse, Sara Mahoney from Carroll University and Elizabeth Trizzino from Wartburg College (Iowa); midfielders Holly Lesperance and Ellen Rogers from Lake Forest College and Ava Lewis from Carleton College (Minn.); and forwards Marie Fitzgerald from Augsburg College (Minn.), Michelle Greeneway from Lake Forest College, Brianna Reid from UW-Whitewater and Katie Vanden Avond from St. Norbert College.

UW-Oshkosh compiled a 14-4-3 record, earned a share of its first WIAC title and made its second straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship this season.
