Kulchytskyy To Be Inducted Into NWCA Division III Hall Of Fame

MANHEIM, Pa.- UW-Oshkosh's most prestigious wrestler, and one of the most decorated competitors in the history of NCAA Division III, Nazar Kulchytskyy was announced as a member of the 2024 National Wrestling Coaches Association NCAA Division III Hall of Fame class.

Kulchytskyy will be inducted to the NWCA's Division III Hall of Fame on July 26 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. during the annual NWCA Convention.

Kulchytskyy is originally from Ukraine and was a five-time Ukrainian National Champion in the freestyle and earned a bronze medal at the European Championships. He came to the United States at the age of 17, graduating from Prairie Du Chien High School in 2009 before beginning his collegiate career with the Titans.

In his time in black and gold, Kulchytskyy accumulated a 143-5 record, three NCAA Division III national titles, two national wrestler of the year honors and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the 2014 NCAA Championships.

Kulchytskyy was the national leader in pins during the 2013 season and was an academic all-American.

After graduating from UW-Oshkosh in 2014, Kulchytskyy wrestled professionally for six years, training with the universities of Wisconsin and Minnesota. He was on the Senior World Team, helping the team to the World Cup Championship in 2018. After retiring in 2020, he started the Team Nazar Training Center, an elite wrestling academy in Madison to help the future generations reach their own goals and dreams.

Kulchytskyy married his wife, Katie, in 2021.  He is the son of Arkadiy (Arkadi) and Halyna (Halina).
