Kulchytskyy Named WIAC Wrestler Of The Week
Following a win over one of the top
wrestlers in the country, UW-Oshkosh 149-pounder Nazar Kulchytskyy
(Fr. • Sosnivka, Ukraine) has been named the Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athetic Conference (WIAC) Wrestler of the Week. The
award was for oustanding performances in meets held Jan. 17-23.
Kulchytskyy raised his season record to 6-0 by defeating
three-time All-American and 2009 NCAA Division III champion Matt
Mauseth of UW-La Crosse on Jan. 19.
Kulchytskyy’s victory was one of three tallied by the Titans
in their 29-9 loss to the second-ranked Eagles. Kulchytskyy ousted
Mauseth, 9-4, to cut UW-Oshkosh’s deficit in the match to
7-6.
UW-Oshkosh’s contest against UW-La Crosse was its only
competition of the week.
