Titans Win Final Dual of Regular Season

WHITEWATER, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh gymnastics squad posted their fifth team score of over 190 points on Saturday against UW-Whitewater on the road. Their 191.750 score is the highest Division III score they have earned this season.

Graduate student Rahdea Jarvis placed first on the parallel bars with a score of 9.675 points, a personal season best. Sophomore Sam Zeilinger took third with 9.600 points. Senior Trinity Sawyer, with a personal season best and junior Kaylie Berens finished in fifth and sixth with scores of 9.575 and 9.550, respectively. Junior Emily Buffington grabbed eighth with 9.450 points.

On the vault, freshman Reanna McGibboney took second, scoring 9.750 points. Senior Haley Volstad (9.700) and freshman Mady Bellmore (9.675) followed in fourth and fifth. Volstad and Bellmore each set personal season bests. Buffington finished seventh with 9.650 points and sophomore Mia Lucero followed in eighth with 9.625 points.

Sophomore Delaney Cienkus finished best for the Titans on the floor exercise with a third place, 9.700 routine. Sawyer tied with two Warhawks for sixth, scoring 9.650 points. 

Cienkus led Oshkosh again on the balance beam with a 9.700 point score. Bellmore followed in third with 9.650 points. Berens, freshman Lydia Hayden and sophomore Liz Romano grabbed fifth through seventh with scores of 9.500, 9.425 and 9.400 points, respectively.

Buffington combined her scores of 9.450 (parallel bars), 9.650 (vault), 9.525 (floor exercise) and 9.275 (balance beam) for 37.900 total points.

Looking Forward

The Titans will return to action on Saturday March 11 to host the WIAC/ National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional Championships in Kolf Sports Center at 2:00 p.m. The other seven WIAC gymnastics-affiliated programs will travel to Oshkosh for the competition.
