Sweep of Events Gives Titans Fourth Dual Win of the Season

OSHKOSH, Wis.- Earning a clean sweep of all the team events and individual results, the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics squad beat Winona State University (Minn.) at home on Thursday night. The Titans scored 190.775 points for their best finish in a WIAC dual this season.

Oshkosh scored a 48.250 on the vault, season-highs on both the uneven parallel bars (47.000) and the balance beam (47.475) and a 48.050 on the floor exercise.

Junior Emily Buffington led all competitors on the vault with a season-best 9.750 score. Freshman Reanna McGibboney followed in second with a score of 9.725 points. Sophomore Mia Lucero took fourth with a 9.625 and senior Haley Volstad and graduate student Rahdea Jarvis tied for fifth with scores of 9.575. 

Buffington also took first in the uneven bars, scoring another season-best 9.650 points. Seniors Adana Amor (9.475) and Trinity Sawyer (9.425) and sophomore Sam Zeilinger (9.300) grabbed second through fourth and Jarvis finished in sixth with a 9.150 score.

Sophomore Delaney Cienkus grabbed the top balance beam spot, scoring 9.700 points. Freshman Mady Bellmore finished second with a score of 9.675 points, a season-high for her. Sophomore Ella Wilson took third with 9.425 points. Freshman Lydia Hayden took fifth with 9.350 points and junior Anna Zoromski and sophomore Liz Romano tied for sixth with each scoring 9.325 points. 

Cienkus tied first on the floor with McGibboney, scoring 9.675 points. Buffington grabbed third with a 9.600 point finish, followed by Jarvis with 9.575 points. Freshman Aleah Radojevich took fifth, scoring 9.525 points and Sawyer took seventh, scoring 9.500 points.

The Titans return to action on Friday, Feb. 24 at home to host the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds at 6 p.m.
