Titans Register Second-Highest Score In Program History

UW-Oshkosh recorded the second-highest score in program history during a quadrangular with three NCAA Division I women's gymnastics teams from the Mid-American Conference on Friday (Jan. 28) in Ypsilanti, Mich.

Division III UW-Oshkosh calculated a score of 191.650 to finish fourth in the team standings. The Titans earned their overall mark with season-best results of 48.050 on the uneven bars, 47.975 on the vault, 47.850 on the balance beam and 47.775 in the floor exercise.

Western Michigan University won Friday's meet with a score of 196.100 while Ball State University (Ind.) and host Eastern Michigan University shared second place with a count of 195.025. Eastern Michigan University is the defending MAC champion.

Emily Gilot gave UW-Oshkosh its best individual finish with her eighth-place score of 9.75 on the vault. The Titans also had Mia Lucero finish 16th on the apparatus with a score of 9.675 and Rahdea Jarvis 18th with a figure of 9.625.

UW-Oshkosh had four top-18 finishers on the balance beam as Kaylie Berens placed 14th with a score of 9.725, Olivia Keller and Anna Zoromski 16th with marks of 9.675 and Delaney Cienkus 18th with a grade of 9.65.

Titans Emily Buffington and Meaghan O'Connor tied for 14th place on the uneven bars with scores of 9.675 while UW-Oshkosh's Trinity Sawyer ranked 18th with a tally of 9.625.

The floor exercise featured UW-Oshkosh's Jarvis finishing 14th and Cienkus 16th with scores of 9.675 and 9.625, respectively.

Western Michigan University's Sarah Moravansky was involved in a trio of first-place finishes on Friday. The 2021 MAC Freshman Gymnast of the Year won the all-around competition with a score of 39.375 while ranking first on the uneven bars and vault with marks of 9.875. Moravansky shared her title on the vault with Ball State University's Suzy Pfister.

Ella Chemotti of Eastern Michigan University took first place on the balance beam with a score of 9.95 while Western Michigan University's Ronni Binstock and Dani Petrousek shared the top finish in the floor exercise with figures of 9.875.

UW-Oshkosh hosts Hamline University (Minn.) in its home opener on Thursday (Feb. 3) in Kolf Sports Center.
