Titans Unable To Conquer Host Warriors

Winona State University recorded victories in all four events plus the all-around competition during its 183.175-180.075 victory over the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team on Thursday (Feb. 6) in Winona, Minn.

UW-Oshkosh surpassed 180 points for the fourth time in five meets, compiling 45.525 on the vault, 45.425 in the floor exercise, 45.025 on balance beam and 44.10 on the uneven bars. Winona State University's team score was its second highest of the season.

The Warriors' Brooke Barnes took first place on the balance beam and uneven bars with scores of 9.60 and 9.30, respectively. Jade Donaldson posted a winning mark of 9.425 on the vault and a top figure of 36.925 in the all-around competition. Winona State University's Veronica Peterson won the floor exercise with a score of 9.50.

UW-Oshkosh's Leane Blais and Elizabeth Kiel both recorded a pair of top-five finishes. Blais placed second and Kiel third on the uneven bars with scores of 9.15 and 9.05, respectively. On the balance beam, Blais took fourth with a mark of 9.30 and Kiel fifth with a figure of 9.20.

The Titans' Krystal Walker totaled a second-place score of 35.675 in the all-around competition and contributed a third-place mark of 9.40 in the floor exercise.

UW-Oshkosh also received a fourth-place score of 9.30 on the vault from Kimberly Robertson and sixth-place marks of 9.275 in the floor exercise from Taylor Ennocenti and 8.775 on the uneven bars from Courtney Howard.

UW-Oshkosh participates in a triangular with Winona State University and host UW-Eau Claire next Friday (Feb. 14).
