Warriors Fend Off Titans

Jena Jondahl owned the high score in two events and the all-around competition as Winona State University defeated the UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics team, 181.775-177.425, on Tuesday (Jan. 31) in Winona, Minn.

Jondahl recorded winning scores of 9.225 on the balance beam, 9.475 on the vault and 36.725 in the all-around competition. She also finished third in the floor exercise with a score of 9.30 and fifth on the uneven bars with a mark of 8.725.

UW-Oshkosh, which compiled its highest team score of the season, was led by the first-place efforts of Leane Blais (Fr. • Salisbury, N.C.) and Abby Zubella (Jr. • Appleton). Blais won the uneven bars with 9.55 points and Zubella the floor exercise with 9.45.

The Titans received second-place scores of 9.325 in the floor exercise from Jill Lindberg (Sr. • Meridian, Idaho) and 9.15 on the uneven bars from Natasha Cattelino (Fr. • Pleasant Prairie). Lindberg also ranked fifth on the balance beam with a figure of 9.075.

UW-Oshkosh tallied a pair of third-place finishes on the vault as Stephanie Gorman (So. • Belvidere, Ill.) and Ashlan Millikan (Fr. • New Castle, Ind.) posted scores of 9.125. Leah Herchenbach (Fr. • Libertyville, Ill.) added third-place marks of 9.15 on the balance beam and 35.075 in the all-around competition.

UW-Oshkosh hosts Hamline University (Minn.) on Saturday (Feb. 4) in Kolf Sports Center.
