Jenkins Named WIAC Gymnast Of The Week

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has selected UW-Oshkosh's Stacie Jenkins (Sr. • Peoria, Ariz.) as one of its two Gymnast of the Week award winners.

Jenkins collected the league's top all-around prize for her performance in women's gymnastics meets held Feb. 14-20. Siri Wischmann of UW-Whitewater was named the conference's top specialist.

Jenkins took first place in the all-around competition as UW-Oshkosh edged visiting UW-Eau Claire, 181.575-181.550, on Feb. 19.

Jenkins scored a season-best 37.025 points in the all-around competition to defeat three other opponents. She also placed third on both the balance beam and uneven bars with 9.35 and 9.20 points, respectively.

Jenkins added a fourth-place score of 9.40 in the floor exercise and an eighth-place value of 9.075 on the vault.
