Jenkins Named WIAC Gymnast Of The Week

UW-Oshkosh's Stacie Jenkins (Jr. • Peoria, Ariz.) merited another WIAC Gymnast of the Week award following her performance in the Titans' upset victory over UW-Whitewater on Feb. 19 in Kolf Sports Center.

Jenkins, who also received the award for the period of Jan. 25-31, was named the league's top specialist for meets held Feb. 15-21. UW-Whitewater's Mary Kate Young was selected as the conference's top all-around performer.

Jenkins won the uneven bars, placed third in the floor exercise and finished fifth on the vault as the Titans posted a 182.700-182.375 victory over the Warhawks. UW-Whitewater entered the meet ranked second in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association's GymInfo rankings and UW-Oshkosh ninth.

Jenkins recorded a pair of season bests against UW-Whitewater as she totaled 9.50 points on the uneven bars and 9.55 in the floor exercise. She also tallied 9.30 points on the vault.

Jenkins' effort helped UW-Oshkosh register its highest team score of the season.
