Golfers To Compete In Stevens Point This Weekend

OSHKOSH, Wis.–The UW-Oshkosh women's golf team returns to the course Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2) for the UW-Stevens Point Invitational at the SentryWorld Golf Course.

This weekend's invitational is the Titans' final regular season tune-up before the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship on Oct. 7-9 in Reedsburg.

Ava Downie (83.3), Taryn Endres (85.5) and Josie Hofer (86.2) are each averaging fewer than 90 strokes per round for UW-Oshkosh on the year. Lauryn Davis follows at 91.3 strokes per 18 holes for the Titans while Hailey Matenaer and Alyssa Dreher follow at 92.2 and 92.8, respectively.

Downie produced the team's best round this season, carding a 76 (+3) during the second and final day of the Division III Classic on Sept. 18 in Hastings, Minn.

UW-Oshkosh will be competing at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational as a team for the first time since winning the 2018 edition of the event by eight strokes over runner-up UW-Stout.
