
Titans Finish Ninth Among 16 Teams In Season Finale
UW-Oshkosh closed its 2021-22 women's golf season with a ninth-place finish at the 16-team UW-Whitewater Spring Invitational held Saturday (April 23) at the Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.
Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) won the 18-hole event with 304 strokes (16-over-par) while Carthage College and UW-Whitewater shared second place with 322.
Rounding out the top five teams were fourth-place University of Dubuque (Iowa) with 326 strokes and fifth-place UW-Eau Claire with 334.
UW-Oshkosh accumulated 348 strokes (60-over-par) en route to its ninth-place finish.
Ava Downie led UW-Oshkosh with her 23rd-place result of 84 strokes (12-over-par).
The Titans also had Erika Priebe finish 32nd with 86 strokes, Margherite Pettenuzzo 36th with 87 and Megan Footit 50th with 91.
Lauryn Davis contributed a 52nd-place score of 92 strokes for UW-Oshkosh while Gwyn Golembiewski finished 58th with 96 and Josie Hofer 63rd with 98.
Krystina Wilson of Washington University in St. Louis captured the individual title with 75 strokes (3-over-par).
Finishing second among the tournament's 89 golfers with 76 strokes were Kallie Sakamoto of Aurora University (Ill.) and Sydney Kuo and Annie Mascot of Washington University in St. Louis.
