Hoffmann Named Head Women’s Golf Coach

Jeremiah Hoffmann was named Thursday (July 1) as the sixth head coach in the 26-year history of the UW-Oshkosh women's golf program.

Hoffmann brings a wealth of golf experience to UW-Oshkosh. He previously served as the head golf professional at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac, director of golf at Mascoutin Golf Club in Berlin, head boys golf coach at both Winnebago Lutheran Academy and St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac and head men's golf coach at UW-Oshkosh's Fond du Lac campus.

"I'm excited to welcome Jeremiah to our athletics program," said Darryl Sims, UW-Oshkosh Assistant Chancellor, Athletics. "Jeremiah's enthusiasm, commitment and passion for golf and the entire student-athlete experience was extremely evident during the selection process. I believe he is prepared for this opportunity and ready to take our student-athletes to a new level of performance."

Hoffmann was the head golf professional at Rolling Meadows Golf Course from 2009-18 and the director of golf at the Mascoutin Golf Club in 2020.

Hoffmann guided the boys golf team at St. Mary's Springs Academy from 2019-21 and led the Ledgers to a Flyway Conference championship and a Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Division 3 regional title in 2019 and 2021. He was the head boys golf coach at Winnebago Lutheran Academy from 2004-18 and the school's head boys basketball coach from 2009-18.

Hoffmann was the director of athletics, head men's basketball coach and head men's golf coach at UW-Oshkosh's Fond du Lac campus from June 2017 to February 2020. He also served as the director of athletics at UW-Oshkosh's Fox Valley campus from May 2019 to February 2020. Hoffmann has been the director of business development and community relations at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton since October 2020.

Hoffmann attended UW-Oshkosh's Fond du Lac campus and went on to earn a bachelor's degree from UW-Oshkosh in 2016 and a master's degree from Ohio University in 2021. He is a high school graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy.

Hoffmann, a certified member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America, relaces Beth Hubbard as UW-Oshkosh's head women's golf coach. Hubbard guided the Titans in an interim capacity during 2020-21 academic year following the retirement of Liza Ruetten.

UW-Oshkosh, a four-time WIAC champion, has made three NCAA Division III Championship appearances, the last in 2016 when it finished 14th in the country. The Titans also placed fourth at the Division III Championship in 2004 and fifth in 2003.

UW-Oshkosh placed seventh at the 2021 WIAC Championship after finishing third in the league the previous three years and second during the 2016-17 season.

"I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity to join the UW-Oshkosh athletics department and lead the school's women's golf program," said Hoffmann. "The program has a history of success, and I can't wait to help our student-athletes build on that tradition."

UW-Oshkosh begins its 2021-22 season by hosting the Titan Classic on Sept. 4-5 at the Oshkosh Country Club.
