Three Titans Named All-American Golf Scholars

UW-Oshkosh's Erika PriebeMargherite Pettenuzzo and Megan Footit were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for the 2019-20 academic year.

Priebe and Pettenuzzo were selected as an All-American Scholar for the second consecutive year while it was the first award for Footit.

Priebe, a Fox Valley Lutheran High School graduate (Appleton), is a sophomore majoring in accounting and possesses a 3.983 grade-point average. She participated in four tournaments last fall, including the WIAC Championship where she finished 19th with 250 strokes. Priebe averaged 79.55 strokes per 18-hole round while also winning the UW-Oshkosh Titan Fall Classic and placing fourth at the Wartburg College Invitational. She was a seventh-place finisher at the 2018 WIAC Championship.

Pettenuzzo participated in five tournaments last fall and averaged 81.73 strokes per 18-hole round. Her best finish came at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Fall Classic, where she finished sixth with a two-day total of 166 strokes. Pettenuzzo finished 13th at the WIAC Championship in 2019 and 26th in 2018. The sophomore from Prospect High School (Mount Prospect, Ill.) holds a 3.842 GPA while majoring in business management and human resources management.

Footit, a freshman elementary education major from Oshkosh West High School, owns a 3.891 GPA. Her best performance of the 2019 season was a 12th-place finish (176 strokes) at the UW-Oshkosh Titan Fall Classic. Footit competed in five tournaments last fall and averaged 90.82 strokes per 18-hole round.

A total of 1,401 women from NCAA and NAIA institutions around the nation were named an WGCA All-American Scholar. Players must have earned a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale to be eligible for the award.
