Paul Continues Stellar Season With Fall Classic Victory

McKenzie Paul won her third straight individual title as UW-Oshkosh finished fourth at the UW-Whitewater Women's Golf Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 20-21) in Delavan.

The Titans totaled 685 strokes for fourth place in the 12-team event. Carthage College won with a score of 653, while the University of St. Francis (Ill.) listed second with 660 and UW-Whitewater third with 664.

Paul carded a 77 on both Friday and Saturday to earn first place by one shot. Her 154 topped Carthage's McKenzie Parks, who came in second at 155. Carthage also had Erin Holst and Taylor Dory tie for third with scores of 157.

Krystal Garritson (158) and Maricar Nones (159) claimed the fifth and sixth positions. UW-Stevens Point's McKenna Prestigiacoma then grabbed seventh place at 161 and UW-Whitewater's Sammie Leibham eighth at 162.

UW-Oshkosh also used a strong second-round 83 from Taylor Wenzel, who finished with a 36-hole mark of 174. Other Titans competing were Theresa Henke (175), Sarah Sheldon (187), Samantha Kuik (190) and Emily Mallek (203).

The Titans visit Stevens Point for the Mad Dawg Invitational from Sept. 28-29.
