Titans Place Fourth At UW-Whitewater Invitational
UW-Oshkosh began a busy weekend of activity by placing fourth at
the UW-Whitewater Women's Golf Invitational held Friday (Sept. 25)
at the Riverside Golf Course in Janesville.
UW-Whitewater won the five-team event with 331 strokes,
39-over-par. UW-Platteville finished second with 354 strokes,
Carroll University third with 355, UW-Oshkosh fourth with 375 and
St. Norbert College fifth with 376.
UW-Oshkosh was led in the 18-hole tournament by Emily Wichman's
(Sr. • Neenah) ninth-place finish. Wichman and Emily Kuiper of
UW-Platteville totaled 85 strokes, 12-over-par, to share the
listing.
The Titans also had Alyssa Chase (Fr. • Sun Prairie) finish
21st with 93 strokes, Coree Georgenson (Fr. • Stevens Point)
28th with 97, Emily Clark (So. • Janesville) 32nd with 100 and
Amanda Bingham (Fr. • Mukwonago) 37th with 110.
Chelsea Davis of UW-Whitewater took individual honors with 75
strokes, 2-over par. Andrea Liebelt of St. Norbert College,
Danielle Olson of UW-Stevens Point and Kellsey Welter of
UW-Platteville tied for second with 80 strokes. Mary Donohue and
Jessica Urban of UW-Stevens Point tied for fifth place among the 39
golfers with 81 strokes.
UW-Oshkosh remains on the road to compete at the UW-Platteville
Invitational on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 26-27) in
Platteville.
