Wichman Places Second, Titans Fourth At Ripon College Invitational
Emily Wichman (Sr. • Neenah) finished among the top three
individuals for the third consecutive meet as UW-Oshkosh placed
fourth at the Ripon College Women's Golf Invitational held Saturday
and Sunday (Sept. 19-20) at the Mascoutin Country Club in
Berlin.
Carroll University, led by medalist Angelina Parrinello, captured
the team title with 722 strokes, 138-over-par. Ripon College
finished second in the four-team meet with 752 strokes, St. Norbert
College third with 756 and UW-Oshkosh fourth with 776.
Wichman and Andrea Liebelt of St. Norbert College tied for second
place in the individual rankings with 177 strokes, 31-over-par.
Wichman's 36-hole scorecard featured 91 strokes on the first day of
competition and 86 on the second.
Parrinello snared the top individual honor with 174 strokes,
28-over-par. Sharing fourth place with 179 strokes were Amanda
Holdshoe of Ripon College and Brittany Puta of Carroll
University.
In addition to Wichman, UW-Oshkosh had Alyssa Chase (Fr. • Sun
Prairie) finish eighth with 184 strokes, Coree Georgenson (Fr.
• Stevens Point) 13th with 198, Emily Clark (So. •
Janesville) 20th with 217 and Amanda Bingham (Fr. • Mukwonago)
22nd with 237. The event had 22 golfers.
The Titans return to action on Friday (Sept. 25) at the
UW-Whitewater Invitational in Janesville.
