Pioneers, Blue Devils Defeat Titans In Spring Debut
Emily Wichman (Sr. • Neenah) placed sixth among 22
competitors to lead the UW-Oshkosh women's golf team during a
triangular with Carroll University and UW-Stout held Saturday and
Sunday (April 10-11) at the Oshkosh Country Club.
UW-Oshkosh finished third in its first meet of the spring season
with 805 strokes, 221-over-par. Carroll University took first place
with 735 strokes, 151-over-par, and UW-Stout second with 746,
162-over-par.
Wichman totaled 187 strokes, 41-over-par, as she posted 18-hole
scores of 95 and 92. Traci Vanderloop of Carroll University
captured first place with 178 strokes, 32-over-par.
Rounding out the top five golfers were second-place Becca Eggers of
UW-Stout with 180 strokes, third-place Morgan Loney of UW-Stout
with 181, fourth-place Brittany Puta of Carroll University with 182
and fifth-place Angelina Parrinello of Carroll University with
185.
In addition to Wichman, UW-Oshkosh had Alyssa Chase (Fr. • Sun
Prairie) finish 17th with 202 strokes, Coree Georgenson (Fr. •
Stevens Point) 18th with 206, Emily Clark (So. • Janesville)
20th with 210 and Amanda Bingham (Fr. • Mukwonago) 22nd with
230.
UW-Oshkosh concludes its 2009-10 season by competing at the
Augustana College (Ill.) Invitational on Thursday (April 15) in
Davenport, Iowa.
