Five Titans Earn All-WIAC, Fischer Named Coach Of The Year

MADISON, Wis.- Kennedy Osterman and Kayce Vaile led UW-Oshkosh's selections to the 2024 All-WIAC Women's Basketball Team when the group was announced by the conference office on Tuesday (Feb. 27).

Kennedy Osterman (Sr. • Pewaukee) was named All-WIAC for the first time of her career and was tabbed for the All-Defensive Team. She led the conference and ranks third in NCAA Division III with a 90.6 shooting percentage from the line and 2.3 steals per game and ranked second with a 38.9 percentage from three. She also led the team with 11.3 points and 2.7 assists per game

Kayce Vaile (Sr. • Greendale) earned her second-straight All-WIAC nod by leading the league with 8.2 rebounds per contest, while averaging the fourth-highest field goal percentage at 53.4 and second-highest blocks per game at 1.5.

Sarah Hardwick (So. • Fond du Lac) joined Osterman on the All-Defensive Team and Bridget Froehlke (Jr. • Wrightstown) was selected for the Honorable Mention Team.

Mackenzie Tlachac (Sr. • Kewaunee) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Brad Fischer, in his 12th season with Oshkosh, was tabbed Kwik Trip Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career (2013, 2017, 2019). He now owns the most conference coach of the year honors in program history after breaking a tie with Kathi Bennett, who won the award in 1991, 1994 and 1996. Fischer led the Titans to their 15th regular season WIAC title and the 19th trip to the NCAA Tournament in program history. Three of the WIAC titles and nine of the postseason appearances have occurred during Fischer's tenure.

Oshkosh enters the national tournament with a 22-5 record after surpassing 20 wins for the 11th time in 12 seasons, hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA Championship at the Kolf Sports Center on Friday and Saturday (Mar. 1-2).
