Titans Conclude Regular Season Action Against Pointers

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The UW-Oshkosh Titans women's basketball squad (17-7, 7-6 WIAC) will take on the Pointers of UW-Stevens Point (11-13, 3-10 WIAC) in the final regular season game of the season. The Titans and Pointers are set to tipoff at 7 p.m. on February 15 inside the Kolf Sports Center.

The Titans posted a 58-38 victory over the Pointers on January 18 in Stevens Point. The Titans had a big defensive second half in the first meeting, holding the pointers to just 13 points in the second half. 

Outlook on Oshkosh

The Titans are averaging 62 points per game while having the second-toughest defense and allows only 55.9 points per game from their opponents. The Titans are shooting 40.8% from the field and recording 33.8 rebounds per game. At the free throw line, the Titans lead the league and are shooting 72%.

Kayce Vaile, Jenna Jorgensen, and Ava Douglas sit inside the top-20 for scoring in the league. Vaile leads the Titans with 10.3 points per game, while Douglas and Jorgensen average 9.1 points per game. Leading the WIAC in rebounding efforts, Vaile averages 8.2 rebounds per game.

Douglas is averaging 82.9% from the free throw line (No. 3 in the WIAC) while Jorgensen averages 1.5 3-pointers per game (No. 5 in the league). Sarah Hardwick is second on the team in rebounding, averaging 5.5 rebounds per game.  s
