
Titans to Open the Season at Lakeland, Eau Claire Tourney
OSHKOSH, Wis.—Returning to the hardwood with three road games, the nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh Titans women's basketball program is set to open action at Lakeland University on Nov. 9.
The Titans and the Muskies of Lakeland are set for tip off at 7 p.m.
The Titans will continue action on the road at the Eau Claire Tip-Off Tourney on Nov. 11 and 12.
Titan Preview
Head coach Brad Fischer brings back eight letterwinners from last year's Elite Eight team in Jenna Jorgensen, Kennedy Osterman, Ava Douglas, Kayce Vaile, Allison Forney, Jaden Kolinski, Julia Magnuson and Mackenzie Tlachac. Jorgensen and Osterman combined to make 70 3-pointers for the Titans a year ago.
The Titans are picked to finish fourth in the 2022-23 preseason poll, released by the WIAC on Oct. 27.
Previewing Lakeland
Lakeland is picked to finish seventh in the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference according to the league coaches and sports information personnel.
All five starters return from a year ago, including honorable mention all-conference selection Kacey Gardner, Ellie Felsinger, Brianna Jones, Kerstin Sauerbrei, and Alexa Yost.
Previewing the Eau Claire Tourney
The Titans will face off against the Royals of Bethel University (Minn.) at 6 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Zorn Arena in Eau Claire.
The Titans will face the Knights of Wartburg College on Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. in the early season tournament.
