Four Titans Named to NFCA All-Region

OSHKOSH, Wis.—Maddie Fink, Sophie Wery, Hannah Ritter, and Brianna Davis represent the UW-Oshkosh Titans softball program on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region teams. The quartet of Titans land on the Second Team for Region VIII.

The NFCA announced the 373 student-athletes from 174 schools who comprise the 2023 NFCA Division III All-Region teams. The Titans were one of a dozen teams to land a minimum of four athletes on the list.

Fink, a pitcher from Stevens Point, Wisconsin, is a two-time All-Region honoree, having been named to the Third Team in 2021. In the opening game of the NCAA Regional, Fink issued three walks and recorded two strikeouts in the Titans opening 5-4 win over Luther. Fink was named to the All-WIAC First Team for the second time in her career. This season, Fink has recorded an ERA of 1.32 with 98 strikeouts.

Ritter, a first basemen from Marengo, Illinois, is a three-time All-Region honoree, having been named to the Second Team in 2021 and the First Team in 2022. In the first game of the NCAA Regional tournament, Ritter went three-for-three at the plate to improve her batting average for the season to .500. Earlier this week, Ritter was named to the All-WIAC First Team for the third time in her career.  This season, Ritter has recorded 69 hits, 11 doubles, and 22 RBIs.

Wery a catcher from Seymour, Wis., earns her first All-Region nod for the Titans. Wery was one-for-four in the Titans opening game in the NCAA tournament and had one RBI in the game. Wery recorded four POs in the game. Wery has been honored by the College Sports Communicators as an Academic All-District and earned All-WIAC First Team honors this week. Wery has a batting average of .364, 47 hits, and leads the team in home runs at nine.

Davis an outfielder from Oshkosh, Wis., earns her first All-Region nod. Davis had three at-bats and two POs in the Titans opening round game of the NCAA Tournament. Davis has a batting average of .375, 36 hits, and 19 RBIs this season. Davis led the Titans in stolen bases with 13 bases this season.

All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 31 online and on-site at the NCAA Division III Finals banquet in Marshall, Texas.
