Titans to Host Raiders in Weekend Matchup

OSHKOSH, Wis.—With the best start to the season in hand, the UW-Oshkosh Titans (6-0) will host the Milwaukee School of Engineers (MSOE) Raiders (7-3) in a non-conference doubleheader on March 11. Action will take place in the UWO Rec Plex with the first pitch set for 1:30 p.m.

Titans' senior pitcher Maddie Fink was named the WIAC x Kwik Trip Pitcher of the Week. Fink pitched two complete games over March 4-5. She struck out ten, allowing three hits and a run in a 5-1 victory over Lawrence. In the Titans' 3-0 shutout win over UW-Superior, she allowed three hits and four walks, while striking out five.

Fink and Sydney Nemetz have each collected three wins on the season while Abby Freismuth adds two saves for the Titans. Combined, the Titans have a 0.67 ERA and nine runs allowed.

Abby Garceau leads the team in runs with five scored while Hannah Ritter and Emily Cliver lead the team with five RBIs. Ritter leads the team with eight hits and adds four runs scored to her early season stats. Sophie Wery leads the team with two doubles and a home run with five hits this season.

The Raiders of MSOE visit Oshkosh after starting the season at the 2023 Spring Games. The Raiders have gone 6-1 in their last seven games with their last outing being a 10-inning game loss to Calvin.

Faith Matta leadsthe team with nine runs scored while Morgan Long leads the team in RBIs at nine. Long has hit two home runs for the Raiders and is one of two players with four doubles in the season.

In the pitching circle for the Raiders, Sarah Grossman leads the team with three wins, one save, and one complete game.
