Menting, Berry Named All-Region

UW-Oshkosh sophomore catcher Abby Menting and junior third baseman Erika Berry were named to the NCAA Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

The NFCA All-Region teams are comprised of three 15-player teams in each of Division III's eight regions. Previously this season, Menting was named to the NFCA's 50-member Division III Player of the Year watch list, and Berry was one of 25 semifinalists for the national award.

This season, Menting and Berry helped lead UW-Oshkosh to its seventh NCAA postseason appearance and first since 2008. The Titans, who claimed the La Crosse Regional with a 3-0 record, won their second regional title and first since 1988. UW-Oshkosh (33-11) advanced to play 22nd-ranked Trine University (Ind.)
