Three Titans Collect All-WIAC Awards

UW-Oshkosh's Whitney Tornow, Amie Henizelman and Sydnee Wyss were selected to the All-WIAC women's softball team.

Tornow, a two-time first-team selection who was named Player of the Year in the league last year, led all conference in batting average (.500), doubles (19) and RBIs (45), while her 40 walks were nearly twice as many as any other player in the league. The senior also led the conference in slugging percentage and on-base percentage.

Heinzelman finished just behind Tornow for the WIAC RBI lead with 44, while belting a team-high nine home runs. The senior finished the season with a .387 batting average and ranked second in the league in on base percentage (.507), walks (24) and third in slugging percentage (.802).

Wyss batted .343 on the season with 11 doubles and 28 RBIs for the Titans. The junior shortstop also finished with a .919 fielding percentage.

UW-La Crosse boasted both individual award winners in Position Player of the Year Jenna Ahnen and Pitcher of the Year Heather Schultz. The Eagles' Chris Helixon was also named Coach of the Year.
