Titans Perfect In Win Over Red Hawks

UW-Oshkosh recorded a perfect score of 15 points during its men's cross country victory over Ripon College on Saturday (Sept. 19) in Green Lake.

The Titans owned the meet's top eight individual finishers, including Justin Skinkis who completed the 8,000-meter course in a winning time of 26:54 and Mitch Pauers who placed second in 27:19.

UW-Oshkosh's Jake Rost finished third with a time of 27:50, while Titans Trevor Damkot placed fourth in 28:11, Fabian Salinas fifth in 28:19, Nathan Nozzi sixth in 28:34, Adian Welsch seventh in 28:45 and Derrick Rufer eighth in 28:57.

Ripon College, which tallied 50 team points, was led by Weston Paige's ninth-place time of 29:05. Michael Allen finished second for the Red Hawks and 14th among the meet's 19 runners with a time of 30:22.

UW-Oshkosh also had Kyle Peotter finish 11th in 29:42, Kenny Peters 12th in 30:13, Corbin Bevry 13th in 30:21 and Max Stingle 15th in 30:26.

The Titans compete at the Roy Griak Invitational next Saturday (Sept. 26) in Minneapolis, Minn.
