Titans Place Third At NCAA Midwest Regional

UW-Oshkosh competed in the 8,000-meter NCAA Division III Midwest Regional at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill., on Saturday (Nov. 12), taking third behind Washington University (Mo.).

North Central College (Ill.) bested 38 other teams with a total of 42 points, followed by Washington University with 114 for second, UW- Oshkosh had 136 points for third, UW-La Crosse 141 for fourth and Wheaton College (Ill.) 151 for fifth.

Running for UW-Oshkosh was John Dewitt (Jr. • Oshkosh) who placed ninth in 25:14, Nate Stymiest (Sr. • Oconto Falls) 13th in 25:19, Tyler Morey (Sr. • Combined Lakes) 18th in 25:26, Sean Kutz (So. • Grantsburg) 33rd in 25:45, Zach Adams (Jr. • Lake Geneva) 63rd in 26:21, Erik Hofferber (So. • Neenah) 100th in 26:56 and Jake Keehan (Sr. • Green Bay) 120th in 27:33.

Finishing first was Matthew Perez of North Central (Ill.) in 24:41, followed by Michael Burnstein (Washington University) in second with 24:54, Tim Nelson (UW-Stout) third in 24:59, William Whitmore (University of Chicago) fourth in 25:05, and Josh Kaul (UW-La Crosse) fifth in 25:09.
