Why did you choose to be a Division III student-athlete?

I chose to be a Division III student-athlete because I wanted to be able to focus on both being a successful student as well as a successful athlete.

What do you like most about competing in the WIAC?

I enjoy competing against athletes who compete for the love of the sport. 

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete? 

The greatest lesson I've learned from being a student-athlete is to balance all aspects of life.

Who has been the most influential person in your athletic career?

The most influential person in my athletic career has been my dad. He introduced me to track & field and really got me hooked on throwing.

Which community service project has been the most rewarding and why? 

The most rewarding community service project I've been involved with is Fishing Has No Boundaries. This is a project that provides people with disabilities an opportunity to go fishing and have a cookout. Having the opportunity to teach others how to do something I love, and see so many smiles, was very rewarding.  

If you could meet any athlete, who would it be and what question would you ask them? 

Mac Wilkins. What motivated you to be one of the best throwers in the world?

What is your greatest sports moment?  

My greatest sports moment was when I placed eighth in the shot put and became an All-American.

What is your favorite TV show?

"NCIS."

What are your favorite foods?

Steak and potatoes.

If you could live any place in the world, where would it be?

Wisconsin.

What does your "bucket list" include?

Visit Europe
Build a car
Catch a trophy musky and shoot a trophy buck

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Teleport, so I don't have to drive.

How would your teammates describe you?

Focused, honest, hardworking and studious.

Do you have any pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? 

I sleep on every bus ride.

What is your dream job? 

Professional outdoorsman.
