Titans Compete At Last Chance Meets

The UW-Oshkosh men's outdoor track and field team participated in two last chance meets on Thursday and Friday (May 19-20) in La Crosse and at J.J Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The 400-meter relay team of Ryan Sprenger (Fr. • Larsen), Brent Jude (Sr. • Milwaukee), Alex DeWitt (So. • Howard) and Quentin Badger (Fr. • Madison) took first place in a time of 41.04 to pace the Titans at the UW-La Crosse Last Chance Meet. 

Taking fourth place for UW-Oshkosh was Donald Klitz (So. • Markesan) in the triple jump with a bound of 46-2 ½ and grabbing a fifth place result was Alan German (Jr. • West Bend) in the long jump with a leap of 23-1 ¼. 

The Titans received a sixth place performance from Alex Dewitt (So. • Howard) in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.39 and a sixth place position from Blaise Dueling (So. • Greenfield) in the long jump with a mark of 22-11 ¼. 

UW-Oshkosh also had an eighth place performance by Corey Wilch (Fr. • Waukesha) in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 55.23. 

Taking first place for Titans at the UW-Oshkosh Last Chance Meet were Jacob Keehan (Sr. • Green Bay) in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 15:44.61, German in the long jump with a leap of 23-2 ¾, Klitz in the triple jump with a mark of 47-5 ¾ and Tony Baker (Sr. • Oshkosh) in the hammer throw with a cast of 192-1. 

UW-Oshkosh had second place results by Peter Gray (Fr. • Baileys Harbor) in the 100-meter dash in a time of 11.54, Kenny Halloran (Fr. • Mt. Prospect, Ill.) in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:00.15, Derek Johnsrud (Fr. • Fall River) in the 5,000-meter run in a time of 16:08.89, Dueling in the long jump with a mark of 23-2 ½, Nick Baatz (So. • Brownsville) in the shot put with a heave of 55-9 ¼ and Ben Ludtke (Jr. • Lyons) in the hammer throw with a launch of 187-1. 

The Titans had a third place performance by John Block (Fr. • Madison) in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:00.86, Pete Delzer (So. • Oconto Falls) in the shot put with a launch of 55-8 ½ and Baker in the discus with a fling of 177-7. 

UW-Oshkosh enjoyed fourth place positions from Sprenger in the long jump with a distance of 21-4 ¾, Baker in the shot put with a fling of 55-7 ¾, Lewis Prior (Jr. • Coleman) in the discus with a heave of 176-8 and Delzer in the hammer throw with a toss of 176-4. 

Taking sixth place for the Titans was Delzer in the discus with a skip of 174-0 and grabbing seventh place was Jeremy Brandt (Fr. • Wausau) in the shot put with a launch of 49-1.
