WIAC Selects Wilke As Diving Athlete Of The Week

The WIAC chose UW-Oshkosh's Matt Wilke as its Kwik Trip Men's Diving Athlete of the Week for events held Dec. 2-8.

Wilke won the 1- and 3-meter diving events to lead UW-Oshkosh's place-winning performances at the Carthage College Classic held Dec. 5-7.

Wilke defeated three opponents in both diving categories, compilng winning scores of 448.20 off the 1-meter board and 465.50 off the 3-meter plank. He placed third in the 1- and fourth in the 3-meter diving at last year's meet.

UW-Oshkosh finished fifth among eight programs in the team standings with 1,240 points. Carthage College scored 2,914 points to successfully defend its team title while Lake Forest College (Ill.) placed second with 2,066, Olivet College (Mich.) third with 1,622 and St. Norbert College fourth with 1,360.

Wilke has now earned the WIAC weekly award 14 times during his career, including three times this season.

UW-Eau Claire's Collin Miller was named the WIAC Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week.
