Titans Steal Victory From Buccaneers

Zach Hogan (Fr. • Milwaukee) and Patrick Keleny (Fr. • Madison) guided UW-Oshkosh to a 100-77 victory over the Beloit College men's swimming & diving team on Saturday (Jan. 19) in Beloit.

Hogan won the 500-yard freestyle race in 5:39.70 and added a second-place time of 1:00.84 in the 100-yard backstroke. Keleny posted his victory in the 100-yard butterfly at 57.49, while clocking a third-place 24.31 in the 50-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh's other individual champions were Bobby Theer (So. • Green Oaks) and Evan DuVall (So. • Sussex). DuVall took the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:07.68, and Theer earned the 100-yard backstroke in 59.29.

The Titans also triumphed in the 200-yard medley relay with a 1:50.66.

Second-place results came from Eddie Dominguez (Sr. • Milwaukee) in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:56.80, Nick Krueger (So. • Hartford) in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:54.64 and Brian Markovich (Sr. • Colgate) in the 100-yard butterfly at 59.33.

Bryan Stoffel (So. • Wittenberg) got the third-place finishes started with his 53.47 in the 100-yard freestyle. Other third-place scores went to Cole Becker (So. • Menomonee Falls) in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:22.79, Josh Dean (So. • Fond du Lac) in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:11.22, Nelson Figueroa (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:04.21, Grant Henke (Fr. • Hartford) in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:08.25 and Val Mikitchik (Fr. • Menasha) in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:59.70.

UW-Oshkosh concludes its regular season against Ripon College on Feb. 2 in Albee Hall.
