Relays Lead Titans In Minnesota

Patrick Keleny's (Fr. • Madison) fifth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly was UW-Oshkosh's highlight at the Jean Freeman Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 30-Dec. 1) in St. Paul, Minn. No team scores were kept.

Keleny posted a 2:08.50 to take fifth in the butterfly, while Quin Lenz (Jr. • Oshkosh) added a sixth-place showing in the 1,650-yard freestyle at 18:16.34. The Titans' other top-10 result came from Samuel Esselman (Fr. • Oshkosh), who listed 10th in the 200-yard butterfly with a 2:24.14.

The Titans also recorded some strong finishes in the freestyle relays. The 400-yard quartet of Eddie Dominguez (Sr. • Milwaukee), Zach Hogan (Fr. • Milwaukee), Brian Markovich (Sr. • Colgate) and Bobby Theer (So. • Green Oaks) placed sixth with a time of 3:26.67.

Grabbing the eighth position, UW-Oshkosh's 800-yard freestyle group of Hogan, Lenz, Andrew Bores (Fr. • Oshkosh) and Sam Green (Fr. • Germantown) clocked a 7:42.42.

Hogan and Nelson Figueroa (So. • Pleasant Prairie) each counted an 11th-place finish individually. In the 200-yard backstroke, Hogan touched the wall after 2:08.20. Figueroa then used 2:26.72 to complete the 200-yard butterfly.

UW-Oshkosh hosts Lawrence University on Friday (Dec. 7) in Albee Hall.
