Warhawks Perfect In Triumph Over Titans

UW-Whitewater captured all 13 events for a 193-47 victory over the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming & diving team on Friday (Nov. 2) in Whitewater.

The Titans' best efforts came from Quin Lenz (Jr. • Oshkosh) and Brian Markovich (Sr. • Colgate). Lenz attained a second-place result (11:32.02) in the 1,000-yard freestyle and a third-place time (5:29.46) in the 500-yard freestyle. Markovich clocked a 2:13.39 for second in the 200-yard backstroke and a 24.00 for fourth in the 50-yard freestyle.

UW-Oshkosh received third-place finishes from Andrew Bores (Fr. • Oshkosh) in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:03.20, Eddie Dominguez (Sr. • Milwaukee) in the 100-yard freestyle at 52.60 and Patrick Keleny (Fr. • Madison) in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:17.06.

Zach Hogan (Fr. • Milwaukee) claimed the fourth position in both the 200-yard freestyle at 2:03.90 and the 200-yard backstroke at 2:17.24.

Other fourth-place standings were provided by Evan DuVall (So. • Sussex) in the 200-yard breaststroke with his 2:35.00, Nelson Figueroa (So. • Pleasant Prairie) in the 200-yard butterfly with his 2:40.03 and Val Mikitchik (Fr. • Menasha) in the 500-yard freestyle with his 5:43.75.

The Titans return to action at the UW-Eau Claire Quadrangular on Nov. 17.
