Dominguez Named WIAC Swimmer Of The Week

The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has selected UW-Oshkosh's Eddie Dominguez (So. • Greendale) as its Men's Swimmer of the Week. The award covered swimming and diving meets held Jan. 31-Feb. 6.

Dominguez won two events and swam on the Titans’ first-place 400-yard freestyle relay team as UW-Oshkosh defeated Ripon College, 151-73, in a dual meet held Feb. 5 in Oshkosh.

Dominguez took first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.78. He won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.90.

Dominguez then swam with Dalton Anderson (So. • Elkhorn), Brian Markovich (Jr. • Colgate) and Jon Streich (Jr. • Hubertus) to compile a winning time of 3:22.69 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Andy Janny of UW-La Crosse was named the WIAC's Men's Diver of the Week.
