Titans Soak Red Hawks

UW-Oshkosh owned the winning performance in all 13 events as it defeated Ripon College, 153-58, in a men's swimming and diving meet held Saturday (Jan. 9) in Albee Hall.

Dalton Anderson (Fr. • Elkhorn), Jon Dudzinski (So. • Ripon), Brian Markovich (So. • Colgate) and Jon Streich (So. • Hubertus) each won two events to pace the Titans to the victory.

Anderson won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.21 and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.45, while Dudzinski won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.60 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.44.

Markovich took first place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.91 and the 100-yard butterfly in 57.68, while Streich took top honors in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.23 and the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:33.02.

UW-Oshkosh also received first-place efforts of 277.55 in the one-meter diving from Phil Devine (So. • Winnebago, Ill.), 195.00 in the three-meter diving from Tim Kuckuk (Fr. • Plymouth) and 5:27.10 in the 500-yard freestyle from Jordan Trentadue (Fr. • Racine).

The Titans won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:46.62 and the 200-yard freestyle relay with a performance of 1:38.17.

Finishing second for UW-Oshkosh were Kuckuk in the one-meter diving with a score of 229.85, Kent Ludeman (Sr. • Cedarburg) in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.41, John Potter (Jr. • McFarland) in the 100-yard freestyle with an effort of 56.12 and Ryan Ronayne (Fr. • Fond du Lac) in the 50-yard freestyle with a swim of 24.09.

Third-place finishes went to the Titans' Ludeman in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.23, Potter in the 200-yard freestyle with a presentation of 2:04.91, Ronayne in the 100-yard backstroke with a feat of 1:03.38 and Trentadue in the 200-yard individual medley with a performance of 2:27.70.
