Titans Record Third Straight Shutout Victory

The UW-Oshkosh men's soccer team scored twice in each half to defeat St. Norbert College, 4-0, on Tuesday (Oct. 21) in De Pere.

UW-Oshkosh (10-5-1) received goals from four different players, including David Radtke who put the Titans ahead on a 10-yard kick just 73 seconds into play. Radtke's second goal of the season came after he collected the rebound of a shot he bounced off St. Norbert College goalkeeper Sam Lisheron.

Jacob Hernandez, who was credited with the assist on Radtke's goal, gave UW-Oshkosh a 2-0 lead with his 30-yard kick during the game's 31st minute (30:51). The goal was the second of the season for Hernandez.

Javier Simon scored UW-Oshkosh's third goal on a 15-yard kick to the far post during the 52nd minute (51:25). The goal was Simon's team-leading seventh of the season.

UW-Oshkosh sealed its eighth straight win over St. Norbert College (9-3-3) on a goal by Hans Becker in the 79th minute (78:55). Becker's 25-yard scoring kick followed passes from Elias Efthimiou and Danny Kobin. It was the third goal of the year for Becker.

UW-Oshkosh earned advantages of 12-7 in shots, 10-2 in shots on goal and 7-4 in corner kicks.

The Titans were led by the two shots each from Becker, Radtke and Jonathan Stanley. Alex Schumacher paced the Green Knights with two shots as well.

St. Norbert College had two players guard its goal, including Lisheron who allowed three goals and saved three shots during the game's first 61:51 of action. Tim Fox allowed one goal and stopped three shots while playing the final 28:09.

UW-Oshkosh now leads the all-time series with St. Norbert College by a 26-5-1 count.

UW-Oshkosh returns home to J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium this weekend for WIAC matches against Finlandia University on Saturday (Oct. 25) and UW-Platteville on Sunday (Oct. 26).
