Peter Thaus begins his second season as an assistant coach with the UW-Oshkosh men’s basketball team.

Last season Thaus and the Titans had a 20-9 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship after winning the conference postseason title.

Thaus’ previous basketball experience includes a stint as a manager and walk-on player at Marquette University during the 2014-15 season. He was a coach with the northern Illinois-based Breakaway Basketball AAU program from 2018-19.

Thaus earned three varsity letters in basketball at Hinsdale Central (Ill.) High School. After attending Indiana University for two years, Thaus graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in 2016.
