Titans to Finish Home Regular Season with Matchup Against Eagles

OSHKOSH, Wis.- In their last home matchup of the regular season, the 18-5 (11-1 WIAC) UW-Oshkosh men's basketball team are set to host the 18-5 (9-3 WIAC) UW-La Crosse in Kolf Sports Center at 5 p.m. In their first meeting of the season, the Titans defeated the Eagles on the road on Jan. 14 by a score of 78-73. 

Oshkosh will honor the 2003 Elite Eight Men's Basketball Reunion as well as celebrate Senior Night on Saturday. Led by head coach Ted Van Dellen, UW-Oshkosh's 2003 team compiled a 25-7 record, won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament for the second straight year, and finished its fifth Division III postseason appearance with its first quarterfinal round visit. The Youth Dance Clinic will make an appearance at the game. 

Previewing the Titans

Oshkosh has allowed a league-low 60.5 points and 31.0 rebounds per game, also holding opponents to 41.6 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from three. Senior forward Levi Borchert leads the Titans with 341 points, with 76 made free throws, ranking fourth. He also leads the league with 247 rebounds, also leading in both individual rebounding category. Senior guard Hunter Plamann's 53 made threes sits at third in the league, averaging 2.3 per game. Senior guard Eric Peterson leads with 40 steals and sophomore forward Jonah Rindfleisch ranks third with 27 blocks. 

Previewing the Eagles

La Crosse scores the second most points (74.2) and allowed the second fewest (64.7) points in the league this season. They also lead the league with a 38.2 three point shooting percentage and a 75.9 free throw shooting percentage, also ranking second with a 47.6 field goal shooting percentage. Senior forward Austin Westra sits at fifth with 342 points this season, with 131 made field goals. He also ranks in the top-five with 138 rebounds (48 offensive). Westra and senior guard Ethan Anderson each sit in the top-five with 62 and 59 assists, respectively.
