Titans to Compete in Small College Basketball Champions Classic

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The No. 3 2-1 UW-Oshkosh Titans men's basketball team is traveling to Aberdeen, S.D. this weekend to compete in the Small College Basketball Champions Classic in Wachs Arena.

The Titans started the season with a 76-63 win at home over Lawrence University (Wis.), before heading on the road. They fell 59-56 to Calvin University (Mich.) on Friday night and had a bounce back 67-56 win over Hope College (Mich.) on Saturday.

Levi Borchert leads the Titans with 33 rebounds (12 offensive) and 56 points, going 21 for 39 from the field, one for two from three and 13 for 20 from the line. Eric Peterson has the most steals and assists on the team with eight and 13, respectively, recording at least two steals in every game so far this season. Cole Booth owns a 100 percent free throw percentage, going five for five so far this season. He has scored 24 total points, also pulling in eight rebounds and two steals.

On Friday at noon, they will play the No. 13 University of St. Joseph (Conn.). The Blue Jays started the season 2-0 with wins over Yeshiva Univ. (N.Y.) and Babson College (Mass.).

Ryan O'Neill leads St. Joseph with 41 points, going 15 for 30 from the field, eight for 15 from three and 3 for 3 from the line. Two Blue Jays follow O'Neill with 25 points. Alec Kinder has the most rebounds on the team at 17 (five offensive). Jaecee Martin leads the team with 11 assists and seven steals.

The Titans play the 1-0 Nebraska Wesleyan Prairie Wolves on Saturday at 10 a.m. In the Prairie Wolves' first game this season, they beat Colorado College 86-67.

Peter Lash leads the Prairie Wolves with 26 points, going eight for 19 from the field, three for nine from three and seven for eight from the line. He has also recorded the most rebounds, with 14 total rebounds (four offensive). Elijah Thatch has the most assists with six, and is tied with Andrew Walker for the lead with four steals.
