
Stewart Earns National and Conference Recognition
OSHKOSH, Wis.—DJ Stewart has earned national and conference recognition for his special teams performance following the No. 24 UW-Oshkosh Titans 19-14 win over UW-Stout. Stewart was named to the D3football.com team of the week and earned WIAC x Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week honors.
Stewart had the game-winning touchdown on a 94-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter. Stewart's kickoff return was good for the third longest kickoff return in school history and was his first kickoff return for a touchdown in his career.
Stewart has received the ball on a dozen kickoff returns this season, averaging 30.7 yards per return.
The running back from Kimberly has seen action on the offensive side of the ball, rushing for 23.1 yards per game and 17 yards per reception.
Stewart and the Tians conclude the home season as they host No. 8 UW-La Crosse on Oct. 29.
